Big Government Job Now CompleteThis is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first. We've really outdone ourselves this time. The U.S. Forestry Service loves us. They even put "EarthFurnace" in their blueprint plans on their recent regional complex near Bridgewater, Virginia. We installed an impressive geothermal heatpump system for the complex. Here's the scoop and some pics:
The building automation system (micro systems controls) can be called by telephone modem in our office to monitor all eight heatpump zones. Here's one of the mechanical rooms with pumps, air spirovent, and controls. The controls are also laptop accessible in the equipment room below.
Here's the polyethylene ground loop heat exchanger that is heat fusioned together. We can also use a Direct Exchange copper ground loop heat exchanger that eliminates the need for pumps and antifreeze solutions. This is possible because the compressor pumps refrigerant gas through the ground loop effortlessly saving pump horsepower. It is a simpler, more efficient system.
